Fostering cultural harmony in Toowoomba
A major focus on settling in regional Queensland is the access provided in all aspects of community engagement. Our regional teams work closely with new arrivals to establish community groups and forums to encourage all ages to feel welcome and the opportunity to thrive and become independent.
Younger migrants and refugees are assisted in gaining access into post-school programs to retain these young people in regional areas, whilst adults can benefit from the targeted workforce strategies and supports that Multicultural Australia have in place.
Since 2011, Multicultural Australia has been committed to creating an inclusive and prosperous community in the Toowoomba region.
Multicultural Australia is proud of Toowoomba’s regional settlement success, which is largely due to the willingness of the community, education, government, business, social enterprise, and non-profit sectors to participate in creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive community.
